Mote of Water, Fire Farming on Easy-Mode
Mobs with drop rates around 30%-60% for Motes of Water and Motes of Fire? It’s true.
You can find the Motes of Water dropped by Skettis Surgers in Skettis in Terrokar forest (68,77). These guys go down quick and have an insanely good drop rate for motes of water.
You can find the Motes of Fire dropped most consistently by Raging Fire-Souls in Nagrand (67,21). These dudes are not necessarily the easiest to take down, but if you are skilled and bring along some fire protection, you shouldn’t have a problem. The drop rates on these may have been nerfed recently, but hold out for more than 15-20 mobs before you decide to quit.
A downside of this elemental mote free-for-all for many players, however, is that flying mount is required to reach the area.
