To get the Savory Deviate Delight recipe, you need merely make sure to kill as many things as humanly (or orcishly) possible in the Barrens. By looking at the drop rates, it appears your best bet is to farm Greater Plainstriders and Theramore Marines (which are green to Alliance, so only farmable by Horde). Both of these mobs still only have a very slightly better drop rate than any other mob in the Barrens; a drop rate of about about .1%. A fun mob to grind for this are Muck Frenzies (68,48). These are located in an weird underwater tunnel on Fray Island.
After learning the recipe, you need merely cast your fishing line in any of the water in or around the Wailing Caverns to get Deviate Fish. Also, if you are Alliance and on a PVP realm, you will want to fish within the instance to reduce your chances of getting ganked to zero.
Though the market on these fluctuates, you are always certain to get a couple gold out of them from the auction house. If you get lucky with the recipe drop rate and are able to farm more than one of the recipes, you can sell those for quite a lot of WoW gold as well.

On my server there is usually 1 or 2 of the recipies for sale in AH, they range from 80-125g. That seemed like a lot until I realized.. You can pay for the recipe in 1.5 hours of fishing, after that, it’s pure profit @ 50-80g and hour. That’s selling the cooked fish @ 1.2 - 1.5g ea. Even at 1.5g ea, I can’t stock the auction house fast enough. The only drawback is that fishing gets old real fast, so I generally make 1 trip/ week to restock the guild coffers as required.

There is hardly ever a recipie on my server (Lightbringer) and if there is its 400g and up. I farmed around crossroads for about 20 min to get a drop.
This recipe is so hard to find on my server and is usually 250 gold and up. I finally had my little character ready to buy it and it wasn’t there. Two days later, it’s back up after my character had to pay for skills. lol.
