Manipulating the Neutral Auction Houses on PVE realms

It seems like most WoW players rarely use the faction-neutral Goblin auction houses, perhaps largely because the high fees associated with selling items and that most items are available in each faction’s auction house. Why bother?

Many players on Regular and RP servers know what the purpose of the Goblin auction houses are, however - transferring gold and items to your cross-faction characters. Because you are allowed to have both Horde and Alliance characters on non-PVP realms, it’s an easy way to deck out your new toon when if you decide to roll an alt that doesn’t share your main’s faction.

Fun Making Gold Through the Mailbox

This is a totally fun way to make gold through your in-game mailbox using nothing more than your creativity and expertise. It’s been around for while, mainly as a “scam,” but it’s also a totally legitimate way to make some extra gold.

First think about what you want to write and how it will benefit other players. It could be an original poem or story by you, or maybe it’s a gold-making tip like you’re reading right now. I especially enjoy getting RP mail that is written from the perspective of the character sending it.

Just the other day I read this post on World of Warcraft Gold Guides about how a chap got his account banned simply for buying gold. A scary story indeed, though I do wonder if it is a real story. Free Teleports to Major Cities

Let’s face it, if time is gold then travelling in World of Warcraft is one of the most expensive endeavors in the game. Having free, mage-like teleports to all of your faction’s major cities could potentially cut your travel time significantly, especially if you are like me and tend to jump around Azeroth a lot.

Wag the Auctioneer

Last night I found myself a bit short on cash (yes, it happens!), so I decided to revisit a time-honored tradition of WoW Auctioneers everywhere: selling items from the auction house that you don’t own yet.

This tactic involves using the search capabilities of Norganna’s Auctioneer Addon to find undervalued blue and purple items, then “selling” them at an increased rate over the Trade channel.
